We believe that by sharing the findings of our work with thought leaders and policy advocates we can begin to address the systemic issues that create barriers to financial wellbeing. The tools that allow the wealthy to build and transfer assets must be available to low-wealth communities in order to change the trajectory of trans-generational poverty in the US and beyond.
Saundra Davis is the executive director and founder of Sage Financial Solutions, an organization dedicated to helping communities develop comprehensive financial education programs. “Learned behavior is the biggest driver for how people “live” with their money. Understanding a person’s vision and future desires helps me understand the drivers behind their financial decisions and helps me help them to become their own financial experts. In essence, my “why” is to help others understand their own “why” so they can build a financial life that is sustainable and congruent with their own values and desires. I have fierce compassion for my clients and training participants and often say I’m not in the business of helping people be more comfortable with being poor, my role is to help people create the life they want, and take action on what they need to do to make it happen.” — Saundra Davis
